Sailing the 7th day of Summer

We finally launched Segundo Vez the 7th day of summer on Aurora Reservoir. What a great time! She was super easy to launch from the custom trailer and what a dream to sail! We owe a lot to her builder, Scott B. Williams and her designer, James Wharram. We could not be happier and wouldn't have any other boat.

Betsy joined us the second day and loved it. A few of the pups will join us when their PFDs arrive.

Much more to follow on getting bit by the sailing bug, launching different Wharram boats and bringing our Hitia 17 home over a mountain pass in a blizzard. For now we are sailing....

Cheers,
Bill & Houston

Sorry about the double post, my login got messed up....

Anyway, congratulations, I had seen your posts on the Wharram site and was wondering how things were going with the Hitia. It is on my wish list, but first I need to use the Melanesia plans I bought!

Thank you Jon. We added some hardware to secure the hatches as the original builder had intended. We also replaced all of the u-bolts on the standing rigging. How is your Melanesia coming along?

Bill and Houston,

Looks like you had good breeze that day! Excellent! Don't fall in the water though, I bet it's cold! ;~)

Fair winds,

Kim
